For the remainder of the day Miles and I free skied. I had a lot of fun during my time with the NSCD and am very thankful that we were able to h
It was good to be back out on the snow today. This morning I had a sit ski lesson with a older man who was normally a ski biker and had decided to try a BI ski. Then in the afternoon I helped with another sit ski lesson. The student was a young boy with autism.
Today we had an office day and spend the whole day working on our video. With our video coming closer to completion, we made sure that we had all the foootage we needed. Today we got our second mentor interview with Cynthia completed, and we even had time to interview one the coordinators and got some great thoughts from her on NSCD
Today Miles and I spent the whole day out on the snow with lessons. I was with a different sit ski for each part of the day. Both lessons were great and went very smooth. We have tomorrow off to ski some fresh snow, unfortunately we will only have three more days working with the NSCD until LINK is over .
Today was our first office day of the internship. We finished a great mentor interview with Tony, and scheduled a mentor interview with Cynthia on Wednesday. Today we also spent a lot of time drafting our video. We pretty much have all of the footage we need for our video. Now we are just going to decide what segments of the mentor interview we are going to add to the video.
Today Miles and I green circle volunteered for the first half of the day with a sit skier and his family of five from Texas. Today we were needed for green circle volunteering and did not do any filming. We were informed that for the next couple of weeks our assistance is going to be essential. Today we had a 13 year old student with cerebral palsy. It was his first time skiing and he was on a BI Ski. We recorded a lot of video and are going to begin editing the video we have within the next couple days. We have been discussing final project idea but have not come to a conclusion yet. Our original idea was to put our promotional video on a local PSA channel but there were some schedualing issues. We are continuing to think of how we will share the video with the public.
This morning we worked with with an advanced sit skier we had worked with on Wednesday and in the afternoon we worked with a autistic stand skier. We had a great day because of all the fresh snow we have been getting. We did not do any filming today in result of the white out.
Today was our third day with the NSCD. Today we worked with a large group of military veterans. There was a arm amputee, a ski biker, and others. We skied all over the mountain and went to the peak of the Parson bowl. Today miles and I focused on getting some solid filming in and had a great time working with such a large group of students.
